More peace and quiet behind the door.

Whether it's music from a teenager's room, conversations from the office, or a lack of privacy in the treatment room – closed doors alone are often not enough. soni PORTA provides a targeted solution: The set significantly improves the sound insulation of rebated interior doors and ensures noticeably more peace and quiet.
Typical locations of use:

  • Living spaces

  • Medical practices & offices

  • Schools, kindergartens & hotels

The door leaf remains visually appealing - the elements are available in modern colours and have an integrated handle recess (optionally on the left or right).

soni PORTA

Effective, clean, residue-free

The set consists of six precisely cut insulation elements made from a material mix:
Heavy foil increases the mass of the door leaf → blocks sound.
Acoustic foam with felt surface → absorbs sound, robust & easy to clean

The elements are self-adhesive and can be removed without leaving any residue on smooth surfaces – ideal for rental properties.

Assembly:

  • Remove the door from its hinges and place it horizontally on a stable surface.
  • Apply insulation elements while lying down (not while hanging)
  • Leave the door to rest for at least 24 hours after installation.
  • Always mount insulation towards the noise source.
  • Two standard heights available (depending on door dimensions & hinge side)

Tip: For larger door gaps, use additional door seals or door brushes. Optional: soni VLD adhesive tape for clean edges. Alternatively available: soni PORTA Basic (permanently bonded). Video instructions:Go to YouTube

Why soundproofing

feature-item-1

Good sound insulation ensures a higher quality of life – whether at home, in the office or in sensitive areas such as medical practices or hotels.

feature-item-2

Sound-absorbing and sound-insulating materials reduce disruptive noise, protect privacy and create a more pleasant atmosphere.

feature-item-3

The right products make all the difference: Depending on the room, location and noise source, there are materials that reflect, absorb or block sound – or even all at the same time.
